Dr Faye Jordan
Faye was born and raised in Brisbane. On leaving school, she studied Speech Pathology at University, and worked as a Speech Pathologist for close to 20 years, in developmental disability and brain injury in children, acquiring a PhD in Traumatic brain injury in children. She returned to university to study medicine when her oldest daughter commenced year 1, graduating with the 4th cohort of the GMC at University of Queensland. Subsequently Faye has completed her RACP PEM, MPH and her FACEM. Faye works as a Senior Staff Specialist in Emergency at TPCH across both the adult’s and children’s emergency departments. She is also the Director of Research in the Emergency Department at TPCH and is involved as the site investigator in a number of multi-centre trials across both children and adults. She is actively involved in teaching and has been awarded several accolades from both Junior Doctors and the University of Queensland for her commitment to teaching. |
