Michael Feeney
(Emergency Physiotherapy Practitioner) BPhty, Grad Cert Management, MPhty(Msk). Michael is an Emergency Physiotherapy Practitioner (EPP) in the Adult and Paediatric Emergency Departments at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. He completed his undergraduate Physiotherapy studies at the University of Queensland in 1990 and then his Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at UQ in 2007. Michael has worked as a Physiotherapist since his undergraduate training in Australia and the United States of America. In 2007 Michael commenced working in the Emergency Department at TPCH establishing a role as an Emergency Physiotherapy Practitioner, the first role of its kind in a Queensland hospital. His focus in the role is the musculoskeletal assessment and management of patients with acute injuries as a Primary Treating clinician. Michael was instrumental in promoting the role of EPP’s in Queensland EDs and establishing Queensland and national networks for EPP’s. He continues to support and train experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist to become Emergency Physiotherapy Practitioners. His COVID learned skill was and continues to be the Bass guitar. |
