Dr Nemat AlSaba
(GEM Specialist) Nemat Alsaba is an emergency physician and an experienced medical educator with 25 years of clinical experience with a particular interest in geriatric emergency medicine (GEM). She is a FACEM currently working as a GEM consultant for the Geriatric Emergency Department Initiative (GEDI) and Residential Aged care facility acute Support Service (RaSS) at The Gold Coast University Hospital.
She is the deputy chair for the ACEM GEM network and an executive member of the International Federation of Emergency Medicine (IFEM) GEM Special Interest Group. Nemat holds a simulation leadership role at Bond University as the Director of the Bond simulation program and a Consultant at Bond Translational Simulation Collaborative. Driving her passion for caring for older adults is guided by her mantra in educational and advocacy activities: “To care for those who once cared for us is one of our highest honors.” Nemat combines her skills and passion for caring for older people to improve their care and health outcomes across the healthcare and educational system (undergraduate and post-graduate training). She has been disseminating GEM knowledge through creating workshops, resources, and educational activities nationally and internationally. |
